These chopsticks were hand carved by one of our suppliers in Kenya. They have some weight to them (0.9 lbs). This set is 100% biodegradable and the ends are made of hand carved cattle bone. Cattle were a form of wealth (currency) in The Swahili Empire. To this day, if you slaughter one, you must use up the entire animal. We use the bones and horns to make jewelry and embellish products like our cooking/ serving spoons. The chopstick set will easily blend into your kitchen aesthetic and contribute to endless dishes for no less than 15 years. Make this set yours today or gift them to a loved one. Measurements: 10" long andunder 0.5" wide at the widest point. The chopsticks are a mix of black and brown tones. None of our cooking and eating utensils have been dyed or glazed.
