Hi there. This spoon is wooden with cattle bone ends and it was hand carved by one of our suppliers in Kenya. This design is 100% biodegradable and it will take you fifteen to twenty years to use up this product. Cattle were a form of wealth (currency) in The Swahili Empire and to this day, if you slaughter one, you must use up the entire animal. We use the bones and horns to make jewelry and embellish products like our eating/ serving spoon. This spoon will easily blend into your kitchen aesthetic and would be perfect for serving honey, loose leaf tea, coffee, sugar and so much more. Make this spoon yours today or gift it to a loved one.
